John Talbot

John Talbot is a 3L JD/MA Bioethics student originally from Middlesex, New york. Prior to
coming to Wake Forest, John received his Bachelor of Arts from Hartwick College. He double-
majored in Philosophy and Political Science with a minor in Religious Studies focusing on
Buddhism. In addition to working with Awaken, John is the president of the Student Animal
Legal Defense Fund, a student ambassador, and plays on the WFU Club Tennis Team. John
attributes his interest in bioethics from personal experiences volunteering with hospice programs
and is intrigued by the complex nature of how technology is vastly changing how we prolong
life.
